Let's move to Happy Doodle Land.

. . do you want to join?
How cute are these pillows? I can see them in a child's bed as a little guardian for the night. Or on my shelf....
The best thing is that they originate from a print which you should look up in her shop. Just darling.

Birthday gifts.

It's my mom's birthday coming up soon.
And this is the gift I just ordered from here.

It totally suits my mom. She will especially go nuts over the cherry print. Can't wait to wrap it all up.
Hand it to her along with a fun cake. Hm, she likes hearts. Any ideas for a birthday cake?

Happy Monday!

Inspiration Friday: Shoot, click, snap.

craftyfolk

I don't know about you, but I am actually very happy for this week to be over. Even though I really try to just focus on the positive things, this week literally drained me. The place is a big mess and I absolutely don't care at all. That's a sign. I need to catch up with some me-time, get things ready for next week and simply enjoy family time.
Anyway, just made some home-made chicken pesto pizza which was wonderful. Food for the soul so to say.

I hope you all had a wonderful week and are excited to embrace a lovely weekend with the ones you  love.

Before I let you go, here another Inspiration Friday, where images speak for themselves.

*Giveaway: Digital print* *CLOSED*

Hello, my dear ones!
I hope this day will be just as exciting as ours. Our day started off with a phone call from my mom saying that my dad pretty much won a photo contest and that they wanted to shot some pics of him downtown Hamburg. I did have an appointment later that day, but couldn't miss such an eventful moment and packed everything we had to witness the shoot. Boy, we can be fast!
Today was a gorgeous day and the pics turned out really nicely. If you ever come to my place, let me know. I will tell you about some must see places. I really love my town.

Anyway, a few nose bleeds, juice spills, naps, and poopy diapers later, I do want to conclude this fantastic day with a fun giveaway from my shop.

The winner can choose one of the prints shown above.
All images are printed as 8x10 on an A4 format.

And this is what you would need to do (super easy!):

Tell me what you would like to see more on my blog! (Told you it would be easy.)

Either comment on my blog, or email me ().

I will announce the winner Monday morning German time!

Good luck!

How to brighten up your room? With prints by Adam Record, of course!

Happy Tuesday, folks!
Hope you are not melting away like we do up here in the NORTH!
A lot of people over here just can't decide what they want. If it's too cold, they want summer. The moment real summer hits, they want the cold back. Instead of being happy and enjoying the few sunny and warm days we got, people turn grumpy and extremely annoyed. I have to admit, this heat is killing me as well. But the sunshine? It supposed to bring a smile on all of our faces.
So, if you are one of the grumpy people out there, let me help you. I can make you smile. Just look at these prints from Fall Down Tree.
See what I mean? They are hilarious! There is not one that doesn't make me giggle. I love design that makes me instantly happy and everyone around me. Big score for fun interior design, don't you think?

This blog will start its first feature this week, so stay tuned for more!

A Peacock in the Shop.

I tried something completely different the other day. I felt experimental. I have never done something like that before, and I must admit, it felt good to go a very different direction this time.
I really enjoy these colors. They are soft, yet powerful.
I guess the long awaited Spring has finally come and also touched my inspiration. :)

Happy Spring to all of you!

Let's be practical.

Ok, now that the days are getting longer, I am thinking outdoors. But spending time outside of the house does indeed take some time in terms of getting all the stuff together once you have a family. Back in the day it went something like this:

1. Get your hair done, check the make up.
2. Grab your purse (make sure you got the wallet, camera, and the cellphone)
3. Put on some shoes and grab your keys.
4. Go.

Now with a family in tow, this whole scenario has changed. Completely. You need to think for three (at least. Always keep in mind that both you and your husband have both keys...in the bag, not inside of the door).

Now the routine goes something like this:

1. Check daughter's diaper.
2. Last minute snack/ zip from the water cup.
3. Pack snacks for kid.
4. Grab random toys and stash them in your bag (preferably sth. she plays a lot with, easy to carry, and not too loud).
5. Put on her shoes and jacket.
6. Make sure the wallet is in the bag (with ALL of its content, incl. the usual plastic. Our daughter tends to play with all kinds of cards in it so that they eventually can be found underneath drawers, fridges, etc.)
7. Enough diapers, wipes?
8. Keys?
9. Hair? Nah, it's combed. Makeup? Those tiny strokes of mascara? Guess it's still on. Teeth? Anything stuck there? No? Check.
10. Ready.

But why not making this whole ordeal a little bit more fun, at least on the eyes?

Here a quick list for all the stashing and hiding of things that come along with a child:

(Ok, this one may not be suitable for carrying things around, but would work as great storage in the car.)

Let the sunshine in!

I am moving.

My dream house and my dream trees.

(The little swings are just adorable. Love such details.)

Happy Monday!

Giveaway Friday. *CLOSED*

I think it is time to let this week come to an end. It's Friday night over here in Germany and all I want to do now is to take a shower, make some hot Mexican chocolate, and watch something with my dear husband. The kid is already in bed, it started to snow and it is very quiet outside. This is nice. It feels good to end another crazy week like this.
But before I say goodbye to all of you out there, I want to invite you to enter a Giveaway. It is the first, so I decided to celebrate this a little by giving out TWO prints from my shop.
All you would have to do is leave a comment which print you would like to have. That's it. Just a comment and I will announce the two winners Monday night (German time).

Good luck!

must. have.

One of the things I just love spending my spare time on is by browsing through etsy shops.
Etsy really has taken the world by storm, but seriously, how can you blame the world for supporting tremendously talented people?

I just had a "must. have." moment I really need to share with you (even my husband thinks these are really cute.).

Check out Joanna Mendicino and her shop prettyrandomobjects :
