Catch up and a winner!

Sorry for being so quiet the past few days, but we did have my best friend from Sweden over for a few days.

And it looked something like this:

The days were filled with lots of catching up, laughter, old jokes, doener, sunshine, trips to the market, dark chili chocolate, cooking, and walks. I can't tell you how good it felt to be with her. It felt like the good old days in college. The place we all met. But more on that some other day.

Happy 100th post, dear blog!

A few days ago I noticed that I would reach my 100th blog post. 100! Wow, that went fast.
I have a lot of fun with this blog as it, in all honesty, keeps my sane. I love my busy life as a mom, wife, organizer, and planner, but it comes to moments where everything seems a bit too overwhelming. This blog keeps the balance very nicely. I get to research things I like. I get to know people from all around the world, which is amazingly fascinating to me.

So, a few posts back I showed you some of the fabric I purchased and promised a little giveaway.
Well, looking at today's date and celebrating the 100th post, I think it's the perfect moment to share this with all of you.

Hello, my dear ones!
I hope this day will be just as exciting as ours. Our day started off with a phone call from my mom saying that my dad pretty much won a photo contest and that they wanted to shot some pics of him downtown Hamburg. I did have an appointment later that day, but couldn't miss such an eventful moment and packed everything we had to witness the shoot. Boy, we can be fast!
Today was a gorgeous day and the pics turned out really nicely. If you ever come to my place, let me know. I will tell you about some must see places. I really love my town.

Anyway, a few nose bleeds, juice spills, naps, and poopy diapers later, I do want to conclude this fantastic day with a fun giveaway from my shop.

I think it is time to let this week come to an end. It's Friday night over here in Germany and all I want to do now is to take a shower, make some hot Mexican chocolate, and watch something with my dear husband. The kid is already in bed, it started to snow and it is very quiet outside. This is nice. It feels good to end another crazy week like this.
